Jose Jerez is the earnest kid from the wrong side of the tracks, the cute boy next door, or even your brooding love interest. As a kid growing up on the outskirts of town he always tried to excel academically to learn more about what fascinated him. Nothing was ever out of reach with his work ethic, and he understood the importance of commitment. His single mother tried her best to wrangle in a boisterous child to her best ability, and saw that her sacrifices would offer her child the chance to set forth his own path. In Jose's formative school years, his knack for literacy and writing pushed him further and further into storytelling. He loved stories, folklore, hymns, anything that evoked an emotion in him he chased. His teachers often pleaded he continue his writing career with great encouragement. But Jose had no story to tell, so he thought. Very quickly he started reading the scripts of his favorite movies, memorizing the lines unconsciously and even reenacting the action sequences from his room. He never thought it anymore than having fun. That was until Ms.Kat his Acting teacher in high school asked his to be in the school play. "Jose I know you have something in you, I've seen the way you are in my class and you naturally want more from every character you've read. Even if you don't join the play I hope you keep acting." Jose realized just then. He had been acting. In class, at his house, even around his friends. Without thinking he always wanted to act, he now had realized his love for stories was being in them. Taking a leap of faith he joined the local colleges plays as a high schooler. Never looking back and fighting through one hell of a pandemic. Transitioning into film he found a fountain for story telling. Being cast as lead roles at various short films such as, "Beneath the Field" and "The Hit That Hit Back"; He strives to work with storytellers that want to connect with the human mind in ways never seen before.
