Mara (Maria) Nicolescu is a Romanian film and theater actress,director,screenwriter ,producer.She was born on May 31, 1973 in Buzau, Romania. She graduated the acting Faculty in 1996, at the "Babes Boliay" University in Cluj.In 2002, she plays first role in the movie Filantropica.Other notable roles in films Italiencele (2004),A Roof overhead (2006) ,Restul e tacere (2007) .Play on the stage of the theater ''Nottara'' in Bucharest.The UCIN award for best female performance in 2002.She was married with director Nae Caranfil.
