Annya

Amar Deokar is an Indian actor, writer, director, and producer. He was brought up in Barshi, Maharashtra, and completed his education by earning a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Filmmaking from the Department of Media and Communication Studies (DMCS), Savitribai Phule Pune University, along with a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.).

Deokar made his debut with the Marathi feature film Mhorkya in 2018. In this project, he not only wrote and co-produced the film but also acted in it. The film received critical acclaim, winning the National Film Award for Best Children’s Film and earning him the Filmfare Award for Best Debut Director.

This was followed by a series of projects, including Identity, Parada, and Inverter. He served as the writer, director, and producer for these short films. He further expanded his creative portfolio by writing, directing, and acting in Prism, and serving as the Creative Director for Phula.

A versatile artist, Deokar has earned significant recognition, particularly through prestigious awards. He has strengthened his portfolio by building strong credentials and consistently showcasing his artistic excellence.

Amar also wrote, acted, directed and produced Aksss, a horror web series on Amar Chitravani. In addition, he has appeared in several short films, including Parigh, Paach Rulaye, Grahan, Parivartan, and Bazaar, Untold Agony among others.

Additionally, Deokar has directed multiple video songs, including Tar Tu Bhimachi Aulad Naahi, Daang Maare Netaaji, and Aisa Milaava Vitthal, among others.

Having emerged as one of the sought-after artists in the film industry, he continues to strive for impactful performances and aims to build a lasting legacy in the years to come.
