David Ostergaard is a professional actor and producer based in North Carolina. He's a prolific playwright with more than 50 scripts under his belt many with performances at the National Theatre in DC. In 2013, he was awarded an Emmy Award for his work on the best commercial in the Southeast. Later that year a short film he worked on won the National 48-Film Challenge and was awarded with a showing at Cannes Film Festival in 2014. In that Challenge, he also received the honor of 'Best Actor' in the 2013 film Challenge. In late 2014, he was commissioned by Massada Arts Project to create a short film. Working closely with Emmy Winner David Saich and Tina Herring the trio produced 'The Last Dufo' an elaborate short film that will be play though out Europe and America. Soon, he begins preproduction for a children's television show--based upon his work with his theatre company, Bright Star Touring Theatre. He is a graduate of the theatre department at University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
