Sean Ryan is a writer and director from Staten Island, New York, growing up with a sense of guilt for no apparent reason due to his Irish Catholic upbringing. However, Sean is now unapologetically optimistic once discovering his uncharted talents during his five years of military service after graduating from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point. His first feature, These Birds Don't Fly South in the Winter (2019), now streaming on Amazon Prime Video, was recognized by 13 Film Festivals. Diverging from his original career path, Sean's work explores "self-identity through paradoxical circumstance" which has led to screenings at the TCL Chinese Theatres in Hollywood to Lincoln Center in New York.
