The same day he graduated from North Carolina School of the Arts School of Filmmaking, Michael Patwin jumped into an old, beat-up BMW (named Beatrice) and U-Hauled his world into Hollywood.

He first entered the industry as creative assistant to Pen Densham and worked on such film projects as _Houdini (1998)_ and the TV series _The Magnificent Seven (1998)_ and _Profiler (1996)_.

Feeling the burn to pursue his own stories full-time, Michael became a delivery-boy for boutique restaurants in Beverly Hills, delivering food at night and writing all day. He first sold script, Hometown Legend (2002), began as dialog notes and action scenes all written on discarded pizza boxes.

After a brief writing partnership with Shawn Hoffman, Michael Patwin has since moved onto solo projects, choosing to focus on collaboration with production companies that "make movies and don't just spin their wheels developing scripts."

Currently, Michael is in pre-production on a script he wrote which he is also slated to direct.
