Shawn Miller is a Seattle-based filmmaker, director, and producer whose work explores the intersection of humanity, imagination, and visual storytelling. As the founder of Radio Tribe Productions, Miller has built a body of work that blends genres-comedy, science fiction, fantasy, and action-while maintaining an emotional core rooted in authentic character and experience.

Miller began his career as an actor in 1986, performing in community and regional theater, television, feature films, and industrial work. His early on-camera experience culminated with a supporting role as Doowa in Seven Hours to Judgment (1988), a feature film later distributed by MGM. This foundation in performance and storytelling would inform his approach to directing and working with actors throughout his career.

In 1998, Miller transitioned into audio and video post production, honing his craft as an editor and VFX generalist. By 2000, he was working full-time in corporate video production, producing training, educational, and branded content for major organizations while continuing to create his own narrative projects independently. His corporate work refined his technical precision, production management skills, and visual discipline-qualities evident in his later films.

Miller's independent credits include Weekend Warriors (2008), the experimental Shadow Diaries series, and Shayla (2024)-a coming-of-age short film. Shayla has been recognized at multiple festivals for its editing, visual effects, and performances.

Across his projects, Miller emphasizes collaboration and innovation. He continues to champion community-based filmmaking through partnerships with schools and arts organizations, fostering opportunities for young storytellers and emerging filmmakers.

Influenced by creators such as Rod Serling, Gene Roddenberry, Ronald D. Moore, Frank Herbert, and Terry Pratchett, Miller's work often examines moral complexity, resilience, and the search for identity within extraordinary circumstances.
