After graduating from Stanford with a degree in English, James Iver Mattson worked in animation production and his first writing credits were in animation as well. He teamed up with writing partner Barbara Brauner on a feature comedy about a very, very bad cat named "Fluffy" which sold to Disney. Their spec script "Deliver Us from Eva" was made into a Focus Features theatrical release starring LL Cool J and Gabrielle Union. They worked as staff writers for Disney Feature Animation, and their well-reviewed middle-grade fantasy series "Oh My Godmother" was published by Disney/Hyperion books. They co-wrote the Hallmark Channel films "Marrying Mr. Darcy" and "Northern Lights of Christmas," and are both based in the Los Angeles area.
