Portuguese film critic. Began writing in 1973 in the daily 'República'. Worked as a film critic in the weekly 'Expresso'. Film teacher at Escola Superior de Teatro e Cinema. Writes regularly in 'Diário de Notícias' and the Portuguese edition of the magazine 'Premiere'. Published two books: "Teleditadura - Diário de um Espectador" (Quetzal, Lisbon, 1995), about the new forms of television in Portugal; "Poemas de Guerra" (Gótica, Lisbon, 2002), a collection of poetry. With three other Portuguese film critics (Eurico de Barros, Nuno Henrique Luz and Vasco Câmara), created the site CINEMA2000. Film writer and director. Worked in the screenplay of "Lá Fora" (2004), directed by Fernando Lopes.
