Georgi Korolchuk was born on August 2, 1946, in Leningrad, Russia, USSR (now St. Petersburg, Russia). In 1970 he graduated from the Leningrad Institute of Theatre, Music, and Cinematography as an actor.

Since 1970 Korolchuk has been a permanent member of the troupe at the Theatre of Komissarzhevskoi in St. Petersburg. 

Georgi Korolchuk was designated the title of Honorable Artist of Russia. He played more than 100 roles on stage. He teaches an acting class at the St. Petersburg State Academy of Theatre. He also works as theatre director. Korolchuk is currently residing in St. Petersburg, Russia.
