Danielle James graduated college early magna cum laude in Paris and started producing theatre before moving to New York City where she worked in finance and studied at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts.

A master student of Patsy Rodenburg, Ivana Chubbuck, and Gregory Berger Sobeck hailing from the Yale School of Drama, and winner of the IMTA Young Adult Talent of the Year Award, she has performed on stages on both U.S. coasts, in television and independent film. Credits include a role she co-wrote in acclaimed off-Broadway production, the role of Ivy-League Marcia she originated in Richard Pagano's two-character dramedy "Women with Dogs" in Hollywood where critics likened her to Ingrid Bergman, in Arthur Hiller-directed National Lampoon's "Pucked" opposite Cary Elwes and Jon Bon Jovi, as the young artist Alessandra in award-winning feature "Broken Glass", as guest star in David Mamet's "The Unit", and recurring as the provocative small-town Randi Sue in Alan Ball's eminent southern vampire series on HBO, "True Blood".

In 2012 she started her own production company Siempre Viva Productions and released "Mothers and Daughters" (2016), her breakout motion picture and the #1 hit indie starring Susan Sarandon, Christina Ricci, Sharon Stone, Mira Sorvino, Courteney Cox, Selma Blair with Ms. Sorvino winning award for Best Actress at the Milan International Film Festival. The film brings to life intersecting stories through photographer Rigby's lens as she learns what it is to be a mom. Her following feature, "Together" (2018) was coined "a wonderful film - poignant and exquisitely acted" by Daily Mail and reviewed as "riveting" with an "all too credible central idea" by The Times, written and directed by Paul Duddridge ("Mothers and Daughters"), starring veteran British actors Peter Bowles ("Victoria") and Sylvia Syms ("The Queen"). It was an Official Selection at the British Film Festival, among others, with Mr. Bowles winning Best Actor for the Oldie Silver Screen Star of the Year Award and nominated at the Winter Film Festival in New York City. It is a powerful drama about an elderly couple who get separated into different care homes against their will when all they want is to be together, inspired by real life stories.

Having grown up in Europe, Danielle speaks several languages, has been honored by the California State Assembly for her commitment to public service, and is passionate about education and the arts.
