Sandra D. Hodge-Hampton (Sandra Hodge) made her feature film writing and directing debut with "the TRUTH the PAIN the SACRIFICE: an actor's reality," which won the Silver Medal Award at the Houston International Film Festival. She started 2000 as one of only nine recipients of the GUY HANKS/MARVIN MILLER SCREENWRITING FELLOWSHIP at the University of Southern California. On full scholarship at UCLA as a Frances E. Williams Artist Fellowship awardee, Sandra received her Certificate in Film Writing in June 2007.

Ms. Hodge-Hampton has written several original screenplays, teleplays, stage plays and shorts. Despite her 2010 relocation to the east coast, Sandra still receives commissions from Los Angeles independent producers to turn their original ideas into full-length scripts for stage and screen. She recently finished her own original television pilot as the Diversity Award Fellow of the Writers Boot Camp based in Los Angeles. Prior to her fellowship she worked in the accounting department for the first two seasons of the hit AMC network show THE WALKING DEAD.

As Executive Assistant to actor-writer-director-producer Laurence Fishburne, Ms. Hodge-Hampton assisted Mr. Fishburne in all areas of film, television, and theater production, acting as his personal liaison on all projects at home and abroad. Warner Bros.' "The Matrix", HBO's "Always Outnumbered," and a Broadway production of "Lion In Winter" are just a few of the widely acclaimed projects Hodge-Hampton worked on during her tenure with Mr. Fishburne in addition to overseeing the management of his bi-coastal residences.

For MGM Studios in Hollywood, Ms. Hodge-Hampton served as assistant and directing apprentice to, "Prison Break's" Executive Producer, Kevin Hooks when he directed the feature film "Fled;" and she was cast as a featured dancer in another MGM film entitled "Hoodlum" directed by Bill Duke. Hodge-Hampton made her stage directorial debut with the full-length play with music entitled "A Taste of Life," which was mounted at the 1200 seat Wilshire Ebell Theater in Los Angeles. As a producer-writer for Black Entertainment Television, Ms. Hodge-Hampton wrote, produced and edited their Emmy Nominee Dinner and Awards Presentation held at the Regent Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Beverly Hills.

While General Manager and staff director for the New York based production company, P.O.V., Inc., Ms. Hodge-Hampton honed her directing skills under the tutelage of Broadway produced Director and Choreographer, Otis Sallid, co-conceiver of the Tony nominated musical "Smokey Joe's Cafe." P.O.V. is where Hodge-Hampton says she acquired most of her production experience from major commercials with McDonald's, Ford and Polaroid to episodic television to music videos to Broadway musicals.

Before leaving New York for the sunshine of California, Ms. Hodge-Hampton served as Production Coordinator for the first season of the sketch comedy series the "Apollo Comedy Hour," as well as production manager for several of Riviera Films music videos.

As an independent, Hodge-Hampton served as Producer and Executive Producer of the feature film entitled "A Part of Me," which had its world premiere at the American Film Institute's (AFI)/Los Angeles International Film Festival. From there the film was requested to participate in the AFI's Independent Film Retrospective at the prestigious Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. Her first short film, "Stronger Than Pride," was chosen for an exclusive screening at the Walter Reade Theater at Lincoln Center in New York City.

At UC Berkeley, Ms. Hodge-Hampton was the Lead Acting Instructor for Education Unlimited's intensive summer program for 14-17 year olds. Hodge-Hampton is a unique blend of business and creativity. With a Finance degree from the University of Notre Dame, where she received the LeClair Eells Award for Leadership in the Department of Finance as well as citywide acclaim for writing, producing and directing her play "Living Memories." Ms. Hodge-Hampton went on to do post-graduate studies at the Goodman School of Drama, the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, New York University, UCLA and the University of Southern California.
