Vladimir Golovanov is Soviet and Russian playwright, screenwriter, poet. Honored Artist of the Russian Federation (2002). Born in Novosibirsk. He graduated from VGIK (screenwriting department) in 1963. In 1970 - Higher Courses of Scriptwriters and Directors at VGIK (directing department). Animation debut - Film, Film, Film (1968) (director: Fyodor Khitruk). He created scripts for many feature and animated films. Golovanov is one of the creators of the Open Russian festival of animated films, known as 'Tarusa', later - Suzdal. In 2007, Vladimir Golovanov was awarded the Vyacheslav Mayasov's Prize for his contribution to the development of the Suzdal Festival. Head of the Animators Club at the Moscow Cinema Museum.
