BA in Theatre Arts (SUNY Fredonia) and an MFA in Drama (The University of Southern California). After 27 years in Los Angeles with a career in theatre, TV and Film - guest stars and principal roles include those on Prime Time TV: Friends, E.R., 24, CSI:NY, Desperate Housewives, Judging Amy, Beverly Hills 90201, Nash Bridges, General Hospital, The Young and The Restless; various indie and short films, and feature films: Daredevil with Ben Affleck, Marshall, with the late Chad Boseman (Rest in Power), Bashira with Liam Aiken to name a few - Josie returned to her hometown of Buffalo, NY to play Lady Macbeth in the award-winning all-female Macbeth for Shakespeare in Delaware Park (SDP), the country's 2nd largest free outdoor Shakespeare Festival in the Country. Continuing to work in Buffalo's growing professional theatre community, she's appeared as Mistress Page in their critically acclaimed The Merry Wives of Windsor,(SDP), in two different one woman shows and various plays at the Jewish Repertory Theatre, The Kavinoky Theatre, Buffalo Laboratory Theatre, The Irish Classical Theatre, Lancaster Opera House, Shea's Smith Theatre, and smaller venues in Rochester, NY. A private coach, and has taught various techniques of Acting from Shakespeare to Acting for the Camera at NYU's StoneStreet Studios, Niagara University, SUNY Fredonia, and Los Angeles's Actor's Bootcamp. With a knack for recognizing specific personal human behavior in each actor she works with, Josie has been successful in coaching professional actors from LA to Buffalo to NYC, helping artists to recognize the beliefs and experiences within themselves that can be used for every character and script they encounter. Outstanding Actor Awards: Artvoice (twice), Buffalo Spree Best of WNY, Best Actress NY 48Hr. Film Project.
