Extensive travel has greatly influenced Ed's perspective of the world. His travels have taken him across all the USA, Canada, Mexico, Honduras, Costa Rica, Cuba, Australia and much of Europe. He served in the U.S. Air Force in Europe, and briefly the CIA in D.C. His managerial position as superintendent with La-Z-Boy Chair Co. in Michigan and Tennessee has greatly helped him deal with a legion of human situations, and expanded his communication skills. His love for interacting with different cultures, metaphysics and the spiritual realm inspire and motivate him, and are often incorporated into his paintings, documentary films and books. Besides being an avid photographer, for over 40 years Ed's paintings have received National acclaim in the media, exhibitions and galleries, and his paintings graced covers and centerfolds of publications such as WATERFOWL, WATERFOWLER'S WORLD, and AMERICAN FIELD MAGAZINE. His paintings have been known to have a spiritual dimension to many of them. His letters have been published TEN times in USA TODAY Newspaper. For the past 15 years, besides continuing to paint for four months out of each year, Ed has been greatly involved in making 20 independent documentary films, such as: SHATTERED REALITY, GENIUS SKY, LOVE HEALS HOMOPHOBIA, PRESCRIPTION FOR ADDICTION, HEART OF THE ARTS, STRAIGHT LINE CURVE & (Native American films) THE HUMAN EFFECT-, MESSAGES FROM THE ANCESTORS, HOLDERS OF WISDON, TRADITIONAL INDIGENOUS WAYS OF BEING , UNSHACKLED - and these last two films have recently won over 45 International film awards for Best Documentary and Best Cinematography. The Indigenous documentaries are consistently being shown across the country, pro bono, via FNX (First Nations Experience) PBS Affiliate TV in areas with a large Indigenous population into 82 million households.
